Instance Lockups

I am having issues when i enter an instance or raid the game locks up and i have to close the game. I have done the regular blizzard instructions of deleting the WTF Cache and interface folders as well as disabling the tooltip script and none of this works. I have done full re-install of the game as well.

I did not have this issue when the patch came out. It just started about 4 days ago. Does anyone have any hints on what to do as i cant get a response from Blizzard on this issue.

A blue post would be nice

Lockups in general can be caused by any of the following reasons:
  • System does not meet the minimum requirements:
    • Make sure you have checked the minimum requirements. Graphical changes were implemented with patch 4.0.1 that can cause your system to use additional resources.
  • Out of date system drivers System:
    • manufacturers will often times provide driver updates that are aimed to improve performance and stability. Make sure all your system drivers are up to date.
  • Graphics settings are too high:
    • If there is a lot of graphics being rendered upon entering an instance, lowering your video settings may help reduce graphical distortions, choppyness and lockups.
