Agrammar US down!

This is now the 4th or maybe 5th time Aggramar is down since the patch...... At any rate we are once again the only server down. Do we have any update as to when it will be up, or what is wrong in general with Aggramar?

I'm sorry but we are unable to provide free character moves due to possible technical issues with a realm. If such issues existed our Realm Technicians would investigate the matter until it was resolved. We do not generally facilitate a mass exodus on a realm.

If you would like to see such a thing done you are welcome to post in the Suggestions forum with your feedback but this isn't a decision our In-Game Support staff would be able to make, same would be said of possible compensation due to unexpected downtime.

The realm appears to be online and accepting players though, thank you all for your patience.

Our Realm Technicians will continue to monitor the situation and look into the overall cause.

It does appear that a number of people seem to be experiencing latency but I'm not entirely certain if it is a realm issue or not. It seems that the majority of players are moving around just fine.

You may want to visit the Technical Support forum, Rochard, Aggramar did not crash 5 times in the last couple of hours. It went down once, it was down for approximately 15 minutes and was restarted to resolve the issue.

If you are disconnecting a lot and experiencing heavy latency please check there.

I edited the inappropriate language from your post instead of simply suspending your posting privileges, Apothiosis. I figured you would appreciate that since we do not permit the use of inappropriate language either clear or masked.

I also am not Realm Technician nor am I a liaison with our Realm Technicians and I am unable to provide you with a reason of why a realm may be experiencing an issue.

If a realm or group of realms is experiencing an ongoing issue we will try to provide what information we can when it is made available to us but this is not the primary duty of those who moderate this forum.

If you are still experience latency please try the Lag Report feature, this will send a report directly to our Technicians and help them in determine if and where an issue may exist.

I never said it was in your head, Apothiosis, I said at the time you reported it the overall majority of players on that realm were not reporting the same thing. Most players seem to be playing normally. I also checked and confirmed that the realm only had gone down once in the last few hours.

As you know the realm is currently offline. Our Technicians are aware of it and are looking into the issue now.

Unfortunately, Obmit, we don't get those kinda of reports. We receive a basic message that the Realm Technicians are aware of the issue and a few updates usually about restarts but otherwise this isn't information that we get.

Looks like the realm is back up.

Please continue to use the Report Lag feature if you are indeed getting latency while playing, that will help our Realm Technicians track down the issue.

The Game Master was not responding to a petition, Vodamir, they noticed you in chat and provided a response to your statement. I'm sorry for the confusion but you weren't having a conversation.

Actually, I was mistaken. Though the Game Master you spoke with was simply monitoring the realm and whispered you when they saw your comment it appears that they were having difficulty chatting. They couldn't see their or your whispers and were unable to resolve the issue to actually speak with you further.

I only meant to correct a misconception that they were in any way responding to a petition you had submitted. Sorry for the confusion, Vodamir.

I'm not entirely certain where the lack of customer service is, Vodamir. There are literally thousands of reasons for a realm to go offline and only a handful of those are immediately apparent. Though I understand that this has occurred several times and it is an inconvenience that doesn't mean that we do not wish to get it resolved as quickly as possible.

As I said earlier we do not offer free character moves based on issues a realm may be having. The goal is to investigate those issues and get them resolved.

As you and a few others comment earlier in trade you indicated you believe free character moves should be considered due to the population on the realm. Though it is entirely possible that such transfers will be offered in the future the realm does not appear to currently warrant it.

I have been here for awhile, Vodamir, and I have seen realms experience such issues from time to time. In each and every case the issue was resolved as soon as it could be. Now due to the complexities of finding and implementing such resolutions it may not have been immediate, and I don't think anyone would dispute that we would love to get these issues resolved immediately, but that simply isn't always possible.

Since this thread has turned into a persons campaign and off track and since the realm appears to be stable I will be locking this thread.
