So, I was warned about the dreaded Headless Horseman pumpkin activator glitch that DC's people, and accidentally fell prey to it. Now when I try to log on, it keeps giving me the notice that "No instance servers are available." Can anyone give me a working solution?

Are you getting that message when attempting to log into one character, Seercry? Please submit an in-game petition using the Stuck category.

A Game Master can move your character which should allow you to log in.

As for the cogwheel issue, there is a viable workaround that seems to work for a number of people. You can create two macro's one to turn off your tooltips and one to turn them back on. Whenever you enter the instance to do the Headless Horseman's event, turn your tooltips off, this may prevent you from freezing and disconnecting.

Note, this doesn't work for everyone but it has been effective for a high number.

Turn Off Tooltips

/script GameTooltip.Temphide = function() GameTooltip:Hide() end; GameTooltip:SetScript("OnShow", GameTooltip.Temphide);

Turn On Tooltips

/script GameTooltip:SetScript("OnShow", GameTooltip.Show);

You log into an alternate character.

Enlighten us on the "high number" part. if its not a viable fix for EVERYONE, dont post it. all it does is make agitated players even more agitated if it fails to work for them. resulting in posts like these.

Sorry, Powerangers, but I'm not willing to do that. If this is a viable resolution for just one person, I'm going to post it.

The fact remains that this has helped most of the people who are having this issue. Yes, there is the occasional player that still seems to disconnect due to this issue but simply because it doesn't work for everyone doesn't mean that it shouldn't be given to anyone.

Just fix it. Simple.

If it were "simple", Powerangers, it would be resolved by now. Simply saying "fix it" doesn't actually help to do so, we aren't sitting around with a resolution for the issue just waiting for enough people to request that the matter be fixed before we implement it.
