Circumventing forum ban

On my home server, it appears that a player who has been permanently banned from the forums has taken to posting on another account or toon. And neither they nor their friends have tried to hide it. When quoting posts from the new account, those that know the person in game always call that player by their banned account name in the response. For example, I was banned under the name Marcia. So, now I post as Jan but everyone quotes my Jan posts but says "Hey Marcia" in their responses.

And yes, even though bans are supposed to be a private matter, it too was a topic of discussion in a previous thread, which is also a forum coc violation. If I saw the reference between the banned name and the new account once, I wouldn't think too much of it. But, it has happened so many times that it has almost become ridiculous.

Using the biohazard symbol, I reported the posts that had quoted posts under the new player name (Jan) but called them by the banned name (Marcia) in their answer. In my report, I explained the apparent connection between the two players (Marcia and Jan) and how the player appeared to be circumventing a forum ban by using a new name.

Did I report this problem correctly or should I have sent an email to someone?

Marcia and Jan were just used as names to help explain the situation. Not even close to the names in question.

Forums bans are usually by account - much like ingame actions are typically by account.

Posting under another account isn't necessarily a violation - unless of course they violate again. In that case, use of the biohazard button is perfectly appropriate and if that sort of behavior continues they may very well find themselves with two accounts that cannot post >.<
