System Failure - way to downsize WoW players

Due to the failure of getting a clear response in game from the GM, I am posting my troubles here for help. These problems could be a failure of different areas.

As far as I can remember, the last 4 times i put up the tickets for technical help in the last two years, each of my requests was put off by the GM, either by saying they did not have the ability to do so, or telling me they transfered my requests to the Technical department and then left me not getting any response ever after. Two of my most recent requests were for raid ID unlock and bugged timer for hodir achievement.

So I was in a PUG for ICC 10man, the server(the whole BG i later found out) crashed for hours. So I requested to unlock my raid ID since I was not able get the group together or join another group. It took quite a while before I get to talk to a GM, and they told me THEY DO NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO UNLOCK RAID ID. So I had to suck it up for that "oh well, there's always a next week".

It was great that I found a raid for "Glory of the Ulduar Raider" achievement for the 310% mount for the last time before Cata. What a great opportunity for a casual player. All was going well until we fought Hodir, we did not get the achievement because there was a bug with the timer and the chest was destroyed somehow. And I really don't believe it was a DPS issue, our group finished every achievement needed except for that one which was supposed to be the one of the easiest to get. As much as I hated it, I put up a ticket for that matter and waited for quite a long time as usual. At first the GM greeted me and readressed the issue, and told me he/she was looking into the record very carefully. Then I was told it was a very close kill, the spell sometimes continue to cast within a few seconds of his death and result in the chest being destroyed. So it is a known bug. A reasonable response I took it, but I did not believe our timer was that close to 3 minutes, it was a logical assumption because the group was very well geared. So I asked the GM to show me the record, and I got the time frame on the record somewhat close to this "xx:47:46 - xx:51:17". Now if you have taken 2nd grade math, you found the elapsed time to be 3 minutes and 31 seconds. And how is that a very, very close kill with 31 seconds behind the time frame? In the end, I think the GM was shock I told him that and took off by telling me the issue was transfered to the technical support to investigate. Bravo, well played as usual. And I am here still waiting. Now patch 4.0.1 went live, even if I get the mount now, it won't be 310% speed.

Much appreciated if you can help me with those issues above. If you did not understand what I wrote, it's ok. My English is bad. Or maybe you guys can tell me why I should continue to pay $17 a month?

Vary, after taking a look at the logs myself, it appears that your group did not qualify for the Heroic achievement for Hodir. =>.<=

Combat was initiated at 02:09:46 GMT (or 19:09:46 PDT) and combat ended at 02:13:17 (or 19:13:17 PDT). As the group did not complete the objective within 3 minutes, the group did not qualify for the hard mode achievement. The Game Master in question mentioned the known issue as it was possible this may have been the case for your group, an assumption that was made prior to investigating the logs for the exact length of time that had passed. I do apologize if this caused some confusion.

In regards to your first issue, our Game Masters are unable to provide Raid ID resets for any reason, at the request of our developers. They are simply not provided the functionality to be able to provide this service.

If you feel the need to provide feedback regarding any of your Game Master interactions, you are most welcome to do so via e-mail at [email protected] - our Game Masters certainly appreciate constructive criticism.

Q u o t e:

Not being able to reset or unlock raid ID is a failure in design and consideration in your game developers part. It doesn't matter how good of a reason for this matter, lacking such flexibility is a bad experience for us gamers. Don't call me a bully, but it is not my fault the game crashed and server down for hours that we, as gamers, would never find out what happened to it. We shouldn't be the one to deal with such fraud.

If you truly feel that this is a functionality that should be made available to our Game Masters, please do post in our Suggestions forums. Our Developers and policy makers regularly read these forums to gather your feedback, and while they cannot provide direct responses, your voice is best and most clearly heard there.

So the registered time is 3 minutes and 31 seconds, why was it so hard for a professional to look into the record before making an assumption? The GM never intended to look into the record and tried to put me off, I requested that record. If I had never requested the record, I would never find out what really went wrong. Was that really professional on the GM's part? No, it was a failure. And by the way, is there no other way to find out if that was really a bug? like summing up the raid dps output for the elapsed time and compare to the boss total HP? What if it was a failure in the timing part of the game mechanic?

Each Game Master operates differently, but I understand where this one was coming from. We get so many different issues every day, but there times when some that pop up have a pattern and that sort of sticks in your brain. This GM may have encountered a few of these recently, which would make it easy to jump to that conclusion. Perhaps that was not the best course of action - if you think that they can improve on their work, as I mentioned previously, they would definitely appreciate your feedback at [email protected]. E-mails sent there go straight to their supervisor for review and distribution.

Q u o t e:
And lastly, why was the issue being sent to investigation with no answer in return? Is that a polite way of getting rid of my ticket? If so, it's working, I will be gotten rid of for good.

Sorry if that was not made clear, but from review of the conversation, it seems that this information was forwarded on to our quality assurance team, who focuses on such bugs and information for review. The information of your case was added to an ongoing review of the issue.

Q u o t e:
How can each GM operate differently when they are all hired by the same boss and given the same traning procedure? Is Blizzard a corporation without professionalism? Why can't it simply be an error of that GM's job? How can a common problem be solved if every employee does different things?

I'm sorry if you misunderstood me - by operate differently, I mean that they may approach situations from different angles. Some may attempt other troubleshooting steps prior to others, some may be newer and require the help of a coworker, some make friendly banter, some are straightforward.

I'm sorry that you feel the need to leave the game, but I do wish you the best of luck in all your future endeavors if this is truly the road you wish to take. Thanks for your time and understanding while I provided what information I could on the situation.
