Free account for WoW veterens

This morning I got up to find an email from Blizzard that said:
As a thank you for being a veteran World of Warcraft® subscriber, we're giving you a FREE copy of World of Warcraft to share with a friend.

I'm wondering if I can use that key with RAF. Has anyone tried yet?

Edit: I've found out that yes, this is possible. The issue I'm having is that the 30 day account key did not give me 30 days, it still only has the 10 days from the trial account. But it's a full account.

The veteran award email and offer are legitimate and are being sent out to veterans who have previously opted in to receiving news and special offers from Blizzard Entertainment. We may run more of these types of promotions in the future, so if this is something you are interested in, we suggest opting in as soon as possible so you don’t miss out.

Thanks for the info, candle lady. You might want to make a blue post on it. =] As you say, many were in fear of their keys and logs being stolen.

I just did make a post about it. :) It's also in the blue tracker as well.

We'll do our best to continue to clarify this for people where we can and greatly appreciate all of those who warned others off thinking it may be a scam. We'd much rather people be cautious than get scammed, but in this case, you're in the clear.
