Is Down-ranking THAT Important?

currently i dont down rank my heals because nobodys ever given me sound reason to, and i never looked into it that much. played enhance forever and just respecced resto to get ready for s3. so yeah can anyone explain to me why downranking is so important or is it just a personal preference?

in pve healing gear i have like 1300 healing or something like that and 9k mana unbuffed, i dont have problems with mana in heroics or anything like that so i never felt the need to downrank.

Downranking heals is endgame healing 101.

I've just reviewed your armory profile and you're not wearing any gear from Sunken Temple. That must mean that you've never been there.
