If you wish to see some kind of compensation due to the issues experienced with the patch, Lowcarb, you are welcome to post in the Suggestions forum with that request.

There is an issue with interacting with doodads while in a Battleground. This is a known issue that we hope to have addressed as soon as possible.

I'm not familiar with the random teleportations that you report but if you'd like to provide more information I can look into it. Though the more appropriate location to report a possible bug would be in the Bug Report forum.

Though these issues are inconvenience this is no way makes the game unplayable. If you are experiencing technical issues related to game freezes or latency outside of what you already described please visit the Technical Support forum for troubleshooting advice.

Actually, you submitted a petition 21 hours 48 minutes ago. As you can imagine, Lowcarb, there have been a large number of petitions submitted since the release of the patch and although we would love to get to you within moments but that is not currently possible.

As for your pet question, only new Hunters are given the pet, at least as far as I am aware. If you had an existing Hunter you'll be able to learn and train a pet when you reach level 10.

Though your voice is lovely, Dryads, it does not lend positively to a conversation. :)
