Friend's Question on Hacked Account

Like the subject said, my friend got hacked. However, it was over a year ago. He's asked I post on the forums for him since he doesn't access to his account or the email his account was under. Here's what he has to say:

I had an old WoW account that was hacked before the battle.net thing, everything was stolen and deleted.

This was over a year ago, i didn't pursue an inquiry

The account to my knowledge is no longer being used, can anything be done to regain what was lost if I so wanted to recover it, including the lost items or gold, and the account itself so i atleast dont have to buy all the WoW games again?

I cant even email using the one i registered with as it is no longer active.

As Deydoria mentioned, Seliys, the account can be recovered as long as your friend can provide proof of ownership. The best course of action is to contact our Account Services team.
