Unable to initialize streaming. Please check your Internet connection.

The first thing to do is to identify each part of your network:

• Firewall (McAfee, Norton, ZoneAlarm, etc.)
  
• Network Adapter and Drivers (http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/21137)
  
• Router make and model (this should be printed somewhere on the front or back or bottom)
  
• Cable or DSL Modem make and model
  
• ISP (Internet Provider)
  
• Location (City, State)

If you have a firewall, please enable it and configure it to allow the Blizzard Downloader access to the internet.
Also configure your firewall and router to open or forward port 3724, 1119, 4000 and 6112-6114.

Ecents, unfortunately, you are at the mercy of your campus network, so I would try downloading from another Internet connection, or copy the Updates folder from a friend's computer. You can also copy the entire World of Warcraft folder from another computer that has fully updated with the 4.0.1 patch.
