The Death of Trade Chat

...And so my place of many an amusing discussion is put to an end. I merely cannot see why it is necessary to instate this chat throttle which limits any given person to two posts at a time. Perhaps it seems arbitrary, but you truly are removing a portion of WoW I have greatly enjoyed over the years, and I know not why. Afterall, the means to self-police the trade chat was there. If someone was particularly irritating, you need not do more than /ignore and report. If you did not care to hear any nonsense that day, then you could /leave.

I fail to see how a chat throttle is necessary.

Given what we all know goes on in Trade chat from time to time, I'd almost argue your first sentence addresses the concern in your second sentence:

They've stated quite a number of times in threads I've read that Trade is a "suggested use" for the channel and the players are not restricted from any other use as long as chat channel rules are followed.
