Question about Battle.net account:

I bought an additional WoW account for a family member under my Battle.net account around 6 months ago so as a gift. Now, beacuse of all the account hacking that's been going on, I'm wanting to place an authenticator on my Battle.net account but I'm worried about the other account that's under my battle.net account that belongs to one of my family members. I don't want them to have to call me everytime they want to get on. So I have three questions...

Is it possible to have two authenticators on the same battle.net account, one for each account?

If not, is it possible for me to move my family members account to a new battle.net account?

If that is seen as me attempting to sell my account to someone, can I create a new battle.net account under my own name and under the same account, and place my family members account on that battle.net account?

I'm worried all of a sudden with the cataclysm changes. I had to update a lot of my addons to make them work, and I'm worried about getting hacked threw keyloggers hidden in addons. I want us both to have authenticators to proctect our accounts.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Taneras.

Sorry about the delay, Taneras. It appears as though your initial thread missed our eyes due to posts pertaining to the patch.

Q u o t e:
Is it possible to have two authenticators on the same battle.net account, one for each account?

No, authenticators are Battle.net specific, not World of Warcraft account specific, meaning each World of Warcraft account merged to the same Battle.net account would share an authenticator.

Q u o t e:
If not, is it possible for me to move my family members account to a new battle.net account?

Perhaps, but this would require a phone call to Account Services to explain the situation.

Q u o t e:
If that is seen as me attempting to sell my account to someone, can I create a new battle.net account under my own name and under the same account, and place my family members account on that battle.net account?

Again, this would require a phone call to Account Services, but let me go into a bit more detail.

If you do decide to create another Battle.net account in your name you would have to use a different email address as Battle.net accounts cannot share the same email address. While this sounds fine, your family member would be accessing an account that is not in their name, which is not supported.

I hope this helps answer your questions.
