Long time player question

I have played WoW since before Burning Crusade came out but for some reason today I am having a major problem with what should be a simple feature of the game and every single post I have made asking for help has been deleted with no answer.

What do I have to do to get the current version of the ingame map to work so I can adjust it so as to be able to see it? This should be such a simple question to get answered. Not everyone who plays this game is a young kid with great eyesight; many older people play and many with physical disabilities play sacrificing funds from fixed incomes for the right to play.

I have a low level toon in an unfamiliar area that my main never quested in and I just plain cant see the little map in the lower right corner to keep track of where she is going.

What is so inappropriate about asking for help in trying to figure out how to make the in game features work for me?

This is a very honest question and deserves an answer.

The default of the map is accessed by the little icon on the top right of your screen - next to your location.

The default on that should be a fullscreen - there is no default transparency that I am aware of.

If you hit the little down arrow on that map, it should give you a slightly smaller version.
