Kicked out of BG straight after combat?!

I just got kicked out of a BG straight after taking down an enemy player and got myself a 15-minute deserter debuff... Pretty sure I wasn't flagged inactive (couldn't have been since I was fresh out of combat). I did get DCd right before the battleground started but I managed to log back in less than a minute and I wasn't flagged inactive then, either. Is this a bug?

Just as a point of clarification - has anyone that's been experiencing this fully reset their UI and has this happened with NO addons installed?

With the number of changes to the game with this last patch, conflicts and errors with existing addons could easily be causing issues - and in some cases even very odd issues.

I'd give a full reset UI a try first, do NOT reinstall any addons and retest as a first trouble-shooting step.

If you continue to experience the same thing after, please do let us know as soon as possible.

To do a full reset UI, you will want to save your addons in another spot if you wish to preserve them.

Then rename/delete or move your WTF, Cache and Interface folders while WoW is shutdown. Reboot your system.

Note, if you are running Vista make sure your permissions are set so it does not undo your changes.

Thank you for the further information folks. This is something that I've passed along to be looked into.

No further information at this time for an update, however.

We do have rolling restarts to address several issues in just a few hours, I don't know if that will help this particular issue, but it is on their radar :)
