if this question is supposed to be in the cataclysm forum, then lesson learned. according to my battle.net account status, i may download the cataclysm client. does this mean that i am in fact in the beta?

Your account management page should list the Beta account there. It will be listed as: World of Warcraft®: Cataclysm Beta

It does look like you are enabled for beta. Have fun, Aydun!
