OK, so I have read the information about how to detect a fake email and a scam and what not. I am NOT to clear on this because when I look at the header it says

Subject: World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Beta Test Invitation

can anyone lend me a professional eye? and explain a bit more?

I really would like to try the beta, even though its late, but not at the expense of my account.

I don't see the e-mail address that was listed in that header being associated with a Battle.net account, Korisun. It may have been associated with an account in the past, but not currently. While that could lead to your having been invited, I don’t see a Cataclysm beta attached to your current Battle.net account. What’s more, I do not see why Account Administration would be sending that e-mail, as they are not involved in the process.

Honestly, the best way to check and see if you have actually been invited to the beta is to check your Battle.net account. If you have been invited you will see an extra account added under your list of games, then you have legitimately been invited to the beta.
