My inscription disappeared

I just trained in Inscription, and after logging out to send myself herbs from another character my inscription disappeared. It still shows up as my second profession in the professions tab and I can mill herbs, but I can't open the crafting window and the trainer shows Apprentice Inscription as available.

What do I do?

Few steps you could try on this, including a full reset UI.

If you type /cast Inscription on the text line, does it bring up your interface?

This is a known issue for some players and it's being looked into - but that should help you actually use the profession in the meantime :)

To do a full reset UI, you will want to save your addons in another spot if you wish to preserve them.

Then rename/delete or move your WTF, Cache and Interface folders while WoW is shutdown. Reboot your system.

Note, if you are running Vista make sure your permissions are set so it does not undo your changes.
