Same ol', same ol'. Log in, strange lag, DC.

Same as the last big patch. I log in to the character screen just fine every single time. Log in a character and 9 times out of 10 I either disconnect before seeing my character or get stuck at a full loading bar and restart my game.
The other 1 time out of 10, I am able to log in and see my character. I run around for anywhere between 30 seconds to 2 minutes, and the players that are in my immediate area upon my initial login are there - but they move for about a second and then run in place for 5 seconds - move 1 second - run in place 5 more. After the 30 seconds - a few minutes of this I disconnect from the server and the cycle begins again.

I was however able to log in to a level 1 alt that I had already created (but not moved from the starting zone) and killed some mobs for a few minutes without disconnecting or lag. This happened last time as well.

I am on a college campus, and I imagine something on the college network is the culprit, but I am also certain that this doesn't just magically affect my school. The last big patch I created a thread about this and had a ridiculous amount of replies (mostly people on college campuses as well).

So uh, any solutions until Blizzard figures out what to do about this? I have done the whole delete cache, delete WTF, and move Interface folder deal.

Sounds like some of your personal information is still coming into the character.

I'd just leave it be on the screen for awhile - whether you load in -or if it appears at the loading screen (until it disconnects itself).

Things like achievements, contents of emails, guildbanks, professional skills, etc. sometimes have to come back down to your client. That can be a considerable amount of information - especially if you are in a hightraffic area like Dalaran with other information also coming in.
