Authenticator based guild ranks - NYI?

First thing my guild looked at and tried to take advantage of when logging into the new patch was the Authenticator Required feature for guild ranks.

It appears to not be functioning at all. Here is what we have tried so far:

    We created a rank, one below the guild master, that required an authenticator.
    We then tried to promote someone we knew had a physical authenticator, no luck, button is grayed out.
    Then we tried promoting someone with an iphone based authenticator, no luck, same issue.
    So we had those same people log out of the game completely, no luck.
    We then had them remove and add their authenticators, still no success.
    Finally we tried kicking people, re-inviting them, promoting other people to guild master, etc. , none of which worked.

Has anyone got a solution for this? Or is the authenticator required check box simply not yet implemented?

Hey Osiris,

Since the patch, I' ve been told that you cannot assign a character to a Guild rank (that requires an authenticator) unless that character has an authenticator attached to their account for 72hours. This timer starts once the player has logged into the game after attaching the authenticator to their account.
