Hey, I have a question for Blizzard on Account Recovery and it's been bugging me for about a year or so , so I figure I'd ask the company this question. Is it possible to recover an account if someone forgotten his/her e-mail, account name, and/or password?

Well thank you. Will they ask any info about you if you are trying to recover an account?

Yes, absolutely. In order to find the account they'll need to obtain information about it and in order to share that information with you they'll need to verify you should have it. :)

Give our Billing and Account Services department a call, Davyn, they'll let you know what is needed.

Well, I have other questions is to why I opened this forum out of curiousity. What if someone moved to a different location but forgot the specific address of the previous town he/she lived in?

I am not entirely certain, Davyn, as I am not a member of our Billing department I do not know exactly what information they will need in order to find the account. Give them a call. :)

ah well, how much info does someone need to give to Blizzard if they want to recover their account if they've been away from the WoW for so long?

You would need to verify that you are the registered user on the account. This can be as simple as providing account specific information such as the answer to your security question or it can require you to send in a copy of your ID.

It really depends on the situation.

Ah ok, so call Billing or send Blizzard an ID to help recover an account?

I'd say call Billing. Before you sent an ID you'd need to send the name of the account that you are attempting to recover.
