i am unsure if this has been covered or not, but was just wondering if for some reason a name is considered offensive or against the naming policy, is the forced name changing action against player put in place by blizzard free?

If we inform you that your name needs changed because it violates one of our policies - yes, the character is put into a state where you will be presented with the opportunity to change the name on your next login.
