What do you think about 4.0.1?

Before posting please keep the major QQ off this forum about certain changes.

You can list Pro's or Cons about classes but don't go ranting about how warrior DPS is droped by 8k or something along those lines.

Pro's:
Some icons were changed were changed to be more fitting for that spell.
A reminder that the Xpac is right around the corner.
Shinny new AoE spells.
Healers can never go OOM. ( Or is that a Con for pvp? hmmm)

Cons:
Reforging seems a bit complicated for the people that haven't been following or aka the casual players that are the major part of this game.
All the new specs are forcing people to use old rotations because no one really knows whats good and whats not currently.
No one really knows what to gem for example str/haste or just pure str for certain classes.
It wasn't made as clear as to what is upgrades and what isn't like Blizzard said they were going to make it.

I'd like to take the time to remind everyone that these changes will take time to adjust to and relearn spells/abilities and their rotations. It's also important to keep in mind that these changes are not absolutely complete until the world itself changes. Things are going to seem a bit out of place here and there and this is just the start (albeit a large part) of the process of releasing Cataclysm.

For those that have been participating in the beta, this isn't a shock. For others who are experiencing these changes for the first time, give yourself some time to learn and adjust to the changes. We've seen this sort of reaction with every expansion to one degree or another and in time that reaction changes based on seeing and experiencing the "final" released content and getting used to the changes themselves. We're entering into a new time with some major events shaking up the world. It only stands to reason that we're going to shake up some player perceptions and ideas as well, but we know it will all settle out and muscle memory will kick in when it comes to using the updated interface as well.

As always though, your constructive feedback is welcome provided that it is kept constructive.

Q u o t e:

With blizzcon just a mere week or so away I'm sure you guys will get plenty of "constructive" feedback on the new stuff! The key however is, will you then take that constructive feedback and actually do something about it this time? (hints to beta/PTR forum where major issues were braught up but still went live in 4.0)

We always take constructive feedback. Not making changes based on that feedback does not mean we aren't listening. It just means we may have a larger piece of the picture we're working with and some ideas of what we need to accomplish for the future of the game as a whole. As you know, World of Warcraft is constantly evolving and we reserve the right to change our minds (or not change our minds) based on a variety of factors (including community feedback.) We do things with the constructive feedback we receive all the time. What we don't do is list which things we've changed based on that feedback.
