Missing characters after patch

So yeah after the patch I logged on to find that several of my characters have mysteriously vanished and are no longer available. Highest I lost was a level 16 mage so I'm not too mad but that's a really nasty bug and I can't imagine someone would be only a little mad losing an 80. What gives?

This is a known issue, Balmund.

On the plus side, most cases of this are resolving themselves over a bit of time - but it is something that is being looked into. The characters are NOT gone truly, just not showing up on the lists.
