I am having an issue with the quest “the only prescription”. This is a level 60 quest and my level 60 rogue cannot finish the quest because I cannot acquire an specific item for the quest. I have already opened 2 in game tickets and no solution was provided so far.
The quest as I said is a level 60 quest and it requires me to acquire the pages of the book called “draconic for dummies”. The quest and all of its chain it is working fine until the point that I need to acquire a page from Onyxia (previous level 60 boss and now a level 80 boss) and my level 60 cannot acquire this specific page from Onyxia anymore (Draconic for dummies: Chapter VI). The issue is that the quest requirement is LEVEL 60, there is no mention saying it’s a level 80 quest or anywhere saying it requires level 80 to finish. The whole quest chain even this part, asks for a player to be level 60 and all parts of the chain is done at 60 areas. The reward is also, of course, items directed to level 60 characters.
The problem I am having is the follow, I opened a ticket, as the quest is broken (if cannot be completed when a player is at the appropriate level, its broken) but did not get a satisfactory answer. The three GMs I spoke to seemed to not understand the problem with the quest. One said that “the item can be physically achieved inside the game” so he couldn’t help me. The item cannot be acquired by a 60 character, that’s the quest requirement (otherwise the quest giver wouldn’t let me pick it, as any other higher level quest). It’s also worth saying that one of the gms even refused to escalate my ticket. I choose then to email the support provided to me by a GM inside the game.
The answer I got was, to say the least, astonishing. According to it, Blizzard do not support me due to the fact I am in a classic World of Warcraft account. So to “experience all the content” in the game I need to purchase all expansion packs. Problem is, the quest I am referring to is a 60 QUEST. The quest is related to a 60 INSTANCE with a 60 item reward. and again, as I mentioned before, at NO PART of the quest it asks me to be over level 60 to complete it. This particular part of the quest, “the only prescription” also does not have any level requirement above 60, just one of the quest items seems to be at the wrong place. I had one of the GMs to say I need to “buy the expansions and level to 80” to finish a 60 quest, with rewards that are 60 epics. Is that supposed to be serious? I am not asking to experience extra content free, just to do a quest designed to 60 characters.
At WoWhead (http://www.wowhead.com/item=21108#comments), there is several reports of players at level 60 that were assisted by GMs that noticed the bug with the quest. Because those GMs seem to understand the problem with the mentioned quest. Who is right, those GMs or the one that said we need to level to 80 to experience level 60 content?
I ask then, is it Blizzard policy to not support classic wow accounts or is the GM mistaken? I still pay 15 dollars per month as any other customer, the same 15 dollars I pay at two other account (yes I have 3 accounts, paying 15 dollars for each a month) . If Blizzard truly do not support us unless we have the two other expansions linked to our account, then Blizzard SHOULD NOT sell the product at the classic form or at least, should clearly let their players know that. I hope this is all a mistake from the part of those GMs that handled my tickets and that this situation can be resolved soon, as its creating a great deal of annoyance and a lot of headache to me.
I just want to finish the quest at the appropriate level it was intended to, without being blocked close to its end. I do not wish to do it as a 80 character as it kills the purpose of the quest (rewards are all 60). If a GM cannot mail me the item inside the game, allow me to enter the instance somehow with a group of friends or allow one to loot the item and mail it to me. Hope it can be solved soon as this quest might not be here in a couple of months. Just want to enjoy the content I pay for. Thanks.
