Just Checking

I'm just checking to make sure my ticket to restore my stuff after I got hacked went through, I don't know how long it usually takes but it's been almost a week now.

It's not so much a big deal as to how long it takes until my stuff is restored, I just want to know whether or not it went through.

A GM response would be very much appreciated. Thank you! =]

*sigh*

Oh, it was done, Lifelord. Looks like they helped themselves to seconds because they beat you back ingame.

Let me have this looked into again for you.

In the meantime, did you find the source of your compromise? This will continue to happen if they can possibly get back in.

Edit: Oh, by the way, they'd added an authenticator. I believe you were aware that indicated a compromised email as well.

Q u o t e:
Omg are you serious? I was just on like an hour ago, I have no idea who keeps hacking into me. How do I make this stop?!

Well, this was immediately after the restoration was done.

Not seeing anything very recently.

Changing your email may have done the trick - provided you don't have malware that grabs your new information.

I've ask this have another pass done, hopefully you'll be hearing from our Specialists soon.

How do I run a malware scan?

Exact same way (note, don't run multiple scanners at the same time), just a different program.

No one scanner is liable to catch every threat. Some are tuned to virus/trojans some to adware/malware.

Those are all reasonable precautions, Lifelord.

Just don't forget that scanning needs to be part of a regular security routine - scanners need updated immediately before use, and that these cretins go after other things besides WoW accounts if they can get their grubby little mitts on them.
