I just wanted to say thank you to blizzard helping me out with an issue i had with my account being hacked. I had no idea that even after putting an authenticator on my account that I would compromised. My email account was hacked and everyone on my emaling listing was sent malicious links to malware / viruses. I sent a 2nd email in caps warning them not to open it; as to what happened to them I am unsure. Im guessing at this point I should just make a new email account for myself to use. I appreciate all the GM's that helped me recover my account in february when my account was activated by someone else who stole my email address, even though I had originally canceled my account in Dec last year. I reactivated it this past August and have had no further problems since discovering my email address was hacked. I appreciate all the help Blizzard has given me.

We certainly do everything within our power to help players that find themselves in such a situation.

As you've unfortunately found out - cases where an email is compromised can be even more complex.

Changing to a totally new email was likely a good call as was adding an authenticator. An authenticator is no replacement for good security and net habits, but it will go a long long way to adding an extra layer of security for your account.
