Upgrading trial account to a real account

So I decided to make a 2nd WoW account for lols, and I'm having a bit of trouble. I just upgraded from a trial to a normal account, entered the credit card info and submitted all the info. On battle.net it says I have a normal account. In game, however, it says I'm still not able to talk in trade/whisper people, etc because I'm on a trial account. Does it just take a bit of time to update, or is there something wrong?

Also, it's at the status of WoW: classic account. In order to become a WoTLK account, I would have to enter a CD key. Can I use the same CD key as my other account or do I have to buy the game again and get a new CD key?
