Both my kids have pink eye...and they *hate* the eye drops. Ages 5 and 2.

Today is a good day to call in sick from parenting....WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CAN'T DO THAT????

Eye drops are the worst!!!

But what may help, in case you haven't thought of this, is have them keep their eyes closed (they won't see the drop coming and freak out), and place the drop in the corner of each eye (One eye at a time is easier). Manually open their eye, the medicine will drain in the eye, and VOILA!

Not really, i has headache :)

love that song =D

I had a friend, while living in Texas, that would pull on my ears when I had a headache. Not in a mean obnoxious way, more of a tension relieving sort of way... was really nice. That, temple massages... and lavender bubble baths are my favorite remedies to headaches. Not all at the same time, mind you. And not if the headache is too intense, 'cause if it is, I am unable to deal with the scent of lavender.

[quote]Hi Auryk!

Have you tried the mango pepper chicken yet?

I did! I am house sitting for a friend right now and have been staying in a bit more the last week. I made some adjustments from what you had originally posted:
    2 - 3 mangos

    4 chicken breast

    about 3 cups of rice

    and 3 peppers

Cut the chicken breast to small pieces. Peel the mangoes and take the entire fruti off and put it in a bowl. Chop the peppers up into thin slices (feel free to snack on it if you want haha) and put it in the same bowl. Get a blender off and chop it up about near liquid. Cook the chicken fully (I don't cook it :( ))

And enjoy. It's a partial recipe but may be complete :)

It was pretty darn good, though I think I am going to make some further adjustments and try it again.

No... No, I'm good with mine. ;P

As someone who has lived a lot of her life in the northern mid-west, I've seen much worse. But it's safe to say there was at least one non-job related reason I moved to Southern California, lol.

Looks like we have quite a few CSF folk that aren't fond of sweet taters. You know what this means?
More for you indeed -- you can keep 'em. Potatoes are vehicles for butter, cheese, bacon, and other forms of salt. Sugar and sweetness (exception of ketchup for fries) have no place with the potato.

Crazy talk!

Gimme some sweet mashed yams any time. Can't wait for the Harvest Festival. <3

Though anyone who puts syrup on potato pancakes needs some re-evaluation. =>.>=

MOAR FOR USSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! hehe

/brings the brown sugar, butter n' cinnamon

nom nom nom

For years I was never fond of them but every holiday my mom would make them, for herself, and I would try them. I actually enjoy the way she currently makes them, she learned to do so from scratch instead of out of a can. I don't care for them by themselves but paired with a honey baked ham or turkey I find them pretty yummy.

Of course there are sweet potato fries which are fantastically good.

NO NO NO, you don't put syrup on potato cakes, you put ketchup or butter and ground pepper and chives.

I'm pretty sure the syrup on potato pancakes is a Polish convention... A good friend of mine from a full Polish background used to do the same thing, as did my Polish grandparents.

Ketchup is so much better.

That is positively adorable, Arvins! I hope you enjoyed taking the little one to the park; if you manage to see this when you get back, let your daughter know that I said hello back. She is a very astute judgment of character; I am assuredly the nicest turtle she will ever meet!

Thanks for taking the time to come and share that story with us. Feel free to hop back into the Customer Service forum any time. Be sure to say hello in the OT thread when you do. :0)

Q u o t e:

THAT is AWESOME!! :-) My kidlet named her littlest pet shop turtle "Awk" (was the best she could pronounce it at the time) And the dragonfly, she called Sindee :-)

also, you aren't interrupting at all, pull up a chair and talk a while :-)

Perhaps Auryk should get a traveling buddy named "Awk"

I'm glad you saw this sir I was hoping you would enjoy it :o) I told her that the turtle said hello and she was shocked, she stood here and waved to your picture then ran in to let her daddy know the turtle talks to her lol thank you for replying back to her I appreciate that!

Edit: shes now back wanting to know how to make you talk!

Unfortunately I can't think of a way to get her to hear the turtle talk.....Feel free to relay any messages, though. I'll be happy to give a response.

Q u o t e:
Now they just need a pic of that turtle doing some skydiving or bungee jumping, or cliff diving.

Hmm, I'll get right on that! I posted any appropriate pictures from my travels through EU two years ago, sadly none of my England pictures come home with me (had to dump them onto a friends computer to make more room, and never got them back). I have some from when I went up to Washington for my birthday a few months ago, I should find those and post a few from that on my photobucket account as well.
