just wondering, considering the massive re-working of the old world, if after we buy the Cata expansion if we will still have to use Vanilla, TBC and Wrath discs to re-install the game (I may be buying another computer just after release) or will we just be able to re-install the Cata disc.

Would prefer an official blue response. Thanks in advance.

As stated above, Charmalot, there has not yet been an official announcement on this topic. If we look at the way things have been done in the past, though, the latest expansion gives you all the information you require, without the need for previous discs. Should you be planning on building a new system you may very well only need the Cataclysm discs to get up to speed, that is purely conjecture on my behalf, though.

Worst case scenario, you can re-download any version you have tied to your Battle.net account via the account manager. :0)

Q u o t e:

You will need a WoTLK that is the only direct requirement that is likely to be needed besides the system requirements. 4.0.3 will include the changes to the world which will happen before the expansion, the expansion's data will be limited to the new zones and dungeons which will be released on December 7th

The requirement of needing WoTLK is more of an account setting requirement, as you are unable to upgrade an account out of order. This has no bearing on whether or not Charmalot would need the files from Wrath installed on the new computer before being able to install Cataclysm.
