So, I have a good friend on WoW who was hacked about 2 weeks ago, and then a friend of his was hacked 2 days later.

Another friend of mine was hacked once last week, and another time last nite. I was also hacked at the same time he was last nite. Luckily we have both gotten our gold and gear back.

Anyone else see a pattern here?

Are the hackers using Real ID information to Hijack your friends accounts too?

(I've since removed everyone from Real ID, and just added their toons names manually just incase I get hacked again ....)

Kalerender is correct, Shekickmycat.
Q u o t e:
There is no way to retrieve a real ID email from in-game after the initial input has been added.
The most they would be able to do is spam your real id friends with phishing/scam whispers. At that point, falling for a scam via a real id whisper is no different then falling for a scam sent via a normal whisper.
