Requested a Name

So I requested a name when I re-rolled on Emerald Dream. This one, in fact. I like this character's name, appearance, and story, but am not seeing much RP happening on Silver Hand outside of Cathedral Square in Stormwind (and half of that is Caelestis Templares performing rites on the cathedral steps - something I'm not exactly privy to).

The name was taken, of course, and so I checked the Armory. There are a few Phoroneus-es out there, apart from myself, but none on Emerald Dream. I put in a ticket to request the name, in the case that the character that already has the name is inactive or hasn't been played. That much is taken care of.

My question is: do I have to remain logged in to the character that created the ticket (named Phorøneus as a temporary measure) in order to receive a response directly, or will a GM be able to contact me while I'm playing another character, or on another realm? I've logged into a few others (and even made another on Emerald Dream), but do not see a "You have an open ticket" message on any of them apart from the original.
