I remember once reading a blue made thread, about keeping your computer secure and what to do if you suspect a keylogger. Well my friend just found out her account was compromised, she hasn't logged in for months, and then just now got an e-mail saying her account has been banned for something... don't remember the technical term.

She's gonna attempt to get her account back, but first she wants to know the steps to get rid of it. She ran AVG Free and Malwarebytes and they came up negative for anything, are there any more specific keylogger removal software?

The following steps are what your friend should follow, Tepe.

Got hacked? Let us help. - https://us.battle.net/account/support/account-recovery.html
  • First, make sure you secure your computer. You will need to run multiple virus scans and if possible use more than one scanner.
    Secure Your Computer: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/30805

  • You will then want to change the password to your personal e-mail. Make sure you do not use the same password as your previous e-mail or battle.net account. If possible, use another computer to make these changes.

  • If you were able to successfully full out the recovery webform an in game ticket will be automatically created and our game masters will investigate the account for any missing items. Feel free to open an in game ticket if you have any additional questions regarding item restoration.
  • Contact In-Game Support to Report Any Character, Item, or Currency Losses:http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/30807
It is important that you continue checking your system for additional malware to prevent future compromises.

In addition to computer security, you may wish to look into obtaining a Blizzard authenticator for your account.
