Recruit a Friend is not working

Hey guys i have been all over the recruit a friend FAQ as per the ticket GM's recommendation but i cant understand why the friend a recruited and myself are not getting any of the recruit a friend benefits. My account still reads that he is 'linked' but only on the free trial, when in reality he has fully upgraded and bought the game. Regardless though, none of us have received any of the benefits such as triple xp and i am beginning to feel mislead by Blizzard....

Any help would be heartily appreciated.

Unfortunately, Imnotferal, though your friend does appear to have used the Recruit a Friend invitation and started a RaF trial account it doesn't appear that they upgraded that account.

Instead of went something like this... we have two accounts, WOW1 and WOW2. WOW1 was created, and about 10 minutes later the Recruit a Friend trial account was created using your invitation which is labeled WOW2. Unfortunately your friend recently upgraded WOW1 to a full account and not the one with the actual Recruit a Friend link, WOW2.

Even though your friend mistakenly has been using and upgraded the wrong account our Billing and Account Services department should be able to help. He just needs to contact them during business hours, they should be able to apply the link to the appropriate account.
