How do I merge battle.net accounts...?

So, let me start off saying I'm not sure if I'm doing this right...
I made a battle.net account, bought Vanilla on it and now I'm trying to merge it to my main account but it isn't working... Did I do something wrong or...?

Pretty frustrated if I just wasted 20 dollars.

Let's start by clarifying exactly what you are trying to do, Drgreghouse.

The first step is correct.
Q u o t e:
I made a battle.net account,
I see the account you are posting with has vanilla WoW and The Burning crusade
Q u o t e:
bought Vanilla on it
This is where I am not sure what you are trying to do.
Q u o t e:
I'm trying to merge it to my main account but it isn't working
You do not need to merge anything. A World of Warcraft account created under battle.net is already merged. Now, I was able to find a second account under the same name as the account you are posting with.

By merging, were you looking into both accounts being under the original battle.net account? If so
Q u o t e:
Did I do something wrong or...?
Yes.

Creating a new battle.net account was not necessary, you are able to have multiple WoW accounts under the same battle.net account. If this is the case, you will need to contact our Billing and Account services team. Only they will be able to move a WoW account from one battle.net account to another.

Lastly
Q u o t e:
It keeps saying my login is invalid on both accounts when I try to use both account names, I don't get it, any one have any ideas??
Make sure you are using your battle.net e-mail to login.

No worries, Drgreghouse.
Q u o t e:
Sorry I didn't specify, It's not this account it's a different last name.
In your case it would be best to contact our Billing and Account services as you may be able to explain where the confusion occurred and hopefully it can be corrected.
