Request Blizzard review “WOW Explorer” Gadget as password stealer;

I recently set up my first 7 Box (never got shista to work reasonably). One of the Gadgets tried was http://gallery.live.com/liveItemDetail.aspx?li=d058a6c9-6ac9-4e7d-8005-c16a983d0856 .

The first time I launched armory from it, it crashed so I ran Comodo tracing utility and noticed there were some packets sent to non US IPs.

As a result I clean installed that computer, and immediately changed my Bnet account password on a different system. I didn’t think about this any more until my yahoo account was violated.

I have checked all my computers with Comodo, A2 (Emsisoft), and MacAfee online they all come up clean. The only thing I can think of is the above stole the Yahoo password as well probably WOW’s password.

I have posted it to Comodo as a suspicious application but that will not help others that do not use Comodo.

If it is what it appears please request MS to pull it form their web site.

Thank you.

I'm afraid Pahanda and Scuba are correct, Naussica. If you believe a third party program/application is malicious in nature you'll want to report it to the creator or the host site. There is very little, if anything, that we may be able to do.

You may be able to forward your concerns to our Hacks Department, though I am not entirely certain, they may be able to take a look.
