So i dropped the quest chain along time ago and now i cant find out where to get it back. can the quest chain be reset?

No need to reset it, just retrace your steps.

It should be available where you left off. There is one point in that chain that is from a dropped item off the fire ele's. If you can't find an NPC with a continuation, it may have been there.
