I was looking for spam definitions on the support site. I realize that nothing here is set in stone and each case is handled differently, but if I wanted to display a 1 line message in trade offering services say engineering crafting, how often would be reasonable?

The only thing I could find was this:
Q u o t e:

Spamming
This category includes:

* Excessively communicating the same phrase, similar phrases, or pure gibberish
* This includes saying the same phrase more than once in a period of 30 seconds

Excessive I am sure is up to interpretation, but once every 30 seconds? This seems... short. I'm almost certain this article is dated, or isn't intended for repeat usage of the trade channel at that interval. That being said, assuming I am right, what IS ok? 2 minutes? 3? 5? 10? I am looking for a basic guideline here. I would like to be able to advertise professions regularly without getting on people's nerves. What do you feel would be appropriate?

Feel free to reply if you're not a CS rep too, since player opinions matter.

Grunkag, I don't believe you understand the phrase in this case. The most important thing to keep in mind is that Game Masters are, primarily, a reactive service. A violation is always a violation - whether or not it is reported to us is a major contributor to whether or not a violation is appropriately actioned.

There are standards to the policies we have set, and each and every Game Master adheres to these policies. While an individual Game Master will be the one handling the action directly, they are following a set policy when they do so. It is not simply on their whims, as this seems to be the impression you are under.
