Okay so i was hacked recently, it took me a while to get it back but i was successful, something interesting happened though, the hacker linked up with my account (Refer-A-Friend), i was wondering if a mod or a player knew how i could access this persons email address that he used to link up with.

Unfortunately I am unable to log into WoW because i was an inactive player until recently and i guess some files in my WoW folder messed up (unable to install currently online because of usage and unable to locate 1st and 2nd disc)

My main interest really is getting the email that was linked up with my account, that has to be possible somehow considering it would have sent a Refer-A-Friend confirmation letter out?

Because this email would be attached to another players account, we would be unable to provide you this information, Ragilence.

While I understand the reasons behind wanting this information, we are unable to do so for security reasons as well as protecting the privacy of the other player.

I'm mainly curious of who they are and how did they get into my account, was it stupidity on my behalf, using a mates computer, or just unlucky that i was targeted.

There are a number of reasons accounts get compromised. Most often than not, compromises occur due to a keylogger, virus, or Trojan that has yet to be found, either on your computer or even your friend’s computer.

If you have not done so yet, you may wish to scan your computer looking for malicious software, as well as read through the following Knowledge Base section on Account and Computer Security:
