Policy Change on Bot Farmers?

Is there a change in the way bot farmers are handled? Previously I would report them and a few days later they would be banned. Now I got a new response saying how they need to be analyzed and may be around a while.

I did use the word 'bot' this time. Before I would say 'hack'. And I got my responses in a few minutes vs a day.

I would rather have a longer response time with a quick ban vs a quick response time and wait weeks for a ban.

The names are Removed - please refrain from calling out other players on the forums if you can send someone to take a look. Thanks.

Our Game Masters often need to take time to investigate the source of a bot, Montish. This can cause you to see a player a few times, in rare cases over the course of weeks, before you notice a change.

It's also possible that the players you are reporting may not be botting at all and just may not be very social.

There is also a difference between someone who is using a bot above ground and someone who may be botting while underground, or teleporting from node to node. While all described are exploits, they function a bit differently and as such they are addressed differently on our end. In the best interest of continuing to fight all these violations effectively, I'm afraid I can't get into more detail about the process, but rest assured each report, regardless of its nature, is fully investigated and addressed appropriately.
