Scroll of Resurrection question

My brother who has stopped playing back in March, is coming back to WoW most likely in November. After reading the info on the "Scroll of Resurrection", which Is what I was going to use on him to get myself a free month, it seems that it wants to give him a 10day trial of BC, and if he pays for 1 month, I will get a free month.

Question is, what good is that for someone who already had wrath and level 80 characters? would he have to play BC for 10 days, then on his account, resubscribe?

Could that be skipped and when he resubscribes, I could get my free month after he pays for a month? I know it's no big deal for myself to pay the monthly fee and not care, but everyone like stuff for free :P

What is the Scroll of Resurrection?
This is a chance to invite your friends who have left World of Warcraft back to the game -- and earn a FREE month of game time in the process! You can send a friend an invitation to try The Burning Crusade for 10 Days FREE, and if that trial leads to your friend re-subscribing for at least one full month, then you'll receive a month FREE as a result. For a similar offer for those of your friends who have never subscribed to World of Warcraft, please see the Recruit-A-Friend FAQ.

Q u o t e:
Yeah , I saw that after I read it again.

So, Scroll of Resurrection is useless now. People who quit for what ever reason probably did it during wrath or late into BC, so this would not be useful for anyone.

That is not entirely true, Stabnjab, at least not based on the number of Scrolls of Resurrection that are used each month. :)

The promotion may eventually include Wrath of the Lich King but for now it is just for those accounts that have not yet upgraded to WotLK, I'm sorry.
