Didn't get Firefighter cause i dc'd...

So the pug i put together just finished up in uld 10 doing HMs, got to general and called it cause someone had to go. But today after only about 5 attempts (if you've pugged or even just done this period you'll know how hard that is that is) we got firefighter. I was pulling about 50% healing every fight (resto druid) with 3 healers, but going into phase 4 on our final attempt i disconnected.
The whole raid was still up and i'd just used innervate on the disc priest (so all 3 healers had 100% mana) so the raid was in a great state going into the phase, i could hear in vent, but my microphone wasn't working so i couldn't communicate. When i got dc'd it was one of those delayed disconnections where you have to wait, so i opened task manager and closed wow (which on my computer means it'll be not responding and the cpu will be maxed out for a few seconds). I reopened wow, logged back in (dead) to find what i'd expected cause i'd heard it in vent, a dead mim. Only not only could i not loot the chest, to get the sigil so my group could do alga, but i hadn't been credited with achievement . This is the hardst achievement to pug on Secrets of Ulduar, so i don't see me being able to pug it again any time soon (yes gear is nice, but when i have to bring in 4-5 people who've never even been in uld, it gets a little difficult).

I opened a ticket and the GM mailed me the emblem i'd missed (yay?) and the sigil for mim so at least our group could do alga (if we hadn't had to call it). But he said he didn't have the power to award achievements. He did say that people have been awarded achievements after an investigation, but first i'd have to go through forums and then a GM would respond to it appropriately (ie investigation which would conclude that im telling the truth, which would grant me my achievement).

I hope the system works :O

I'm afraid the Game Master you spoke with was misinformed, Fluffy. In certain cases where an achievement should have been earned our staff has been able to help though these cases are rare and only specific achievements can be helped with.

In order to earn an achievement you must fulfill the qualifications for it, part of those qualifications for this one is to be present when the Mimiron is defeated. I'm sorry, Fluffy, but as unfortunate as your disconnection was you were not present for the that part.

The Game Master awarded you the item because they could verify that you were participated in the fight. It does not work the same for achievements.

I am sorry for what confusion may have been caused and I encourage you to write to [email protected] regarding your interaction with our In-Game Support staff. The matter will be reviewed.

So anymore time spent in forums is just beating a dead horse?

Edit: After reviewing the conversation it appears that the Game Master was indeed correct. After they informed you that we were unable to assist with the achievement request you stated that you were thinking about posting on the Suggestion forum. The Game Master simply was reinforcing that idea as our abilities and policies regarding this issue are directly determined by our Developers. They did not actually suggest that posting on the forum would help launch an investigation and eventually award you the achievement.

You will want to post in the Suggestion forum, Fluffy, though that won't impact the request you originally had it may help for any future issues.

Yay for bureaucracy! Well it would have been nice to get uld drake, but o well

ty responses :)

This has nothing to do with bureaucracy and everything to do with what was earned. Though you may have been present for 99% of the fight it is that last 1% where you were absent for the kill that matters. I'm sorry.
