You know I wonder how is it that I keep getting emails from phishers, I am not one to give out any information. I had reset my password, and then decided to take a 6 month break where I had forgot my new password and had to call the Blizzard help desk once I decided to play again, from that day I started playing again I started getting emails telling me that I was in violation of this or that. Now I wonder if some member of the Blizzard team is selling our information. I have stopped reading supposed Blizzard Emails and have just started chalking them up as Phishing scams, and marking them so with my email provider.

I couldn't tell you the rhyme or reason behind phishing attempts, Pourterhouse. A lot of them are sent out quite randomly - "blind lines" so to speak. The larger quantity they send out to, the larger potential for account information they can steal.

It does sound like you might benefit from checking out our article on identifying scam and phishing e-mails. I've also included a link to our thread of known scam mails. Any suspicious e-mails you receive should be forwarded to us at [email protected] for investigation. We'd really appreciate it!
