And... now my account's password has changed. Help? :s didnt click the link incase it was a scam

EDIT: When I went to go change my password I got the same email, so I'm fairly sure it's legit. However from what I last recall, my secret question has changed from what it used to be. I am 100% sure of this.

EDIT: So I changed my password.... and I logged on, when I last logged off I was with my GM on my rocket, and he instantly asked me if I was high because i was flying around like a special person killing stuff. Help please blizzard :c

EDIT: My email adress is currently getting spammed with -You have recently made modifications to this account- . Help would be accepted any time now :D

There are several steps you will want to take, Vàsh. Looking at the account changes, it appears someone may have access to your e-mail account, as it is required to request and complete a password reset.
  • First, make sure you secure your computer. You will need to run multiple virus scans and if possible use more than one scanner.
    Secure Your Computer: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/30805

  • You will then want to change the password to your personal e-mail. Make sure you do not use the same password as your previous e-mail or battle.net account. If possible, use another computer to make these changes. Changing your battle.net e-mail is recommended.
    Secure Your Email Address:http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/30806

  • The last thing you will want to do is submit an in game ticket and report losses.
  • Contact In-Game Support to Report Any Character, Item, or Currency Losses:http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/30807
Our game masters will look into your report and assist with any restorations needed. It is important that you continue checking your system for additional malware to prevent future compromises.

In addition to computer security, you may wish to look into obtaining a Blizzard authenticator for your account.

For security purposes, the secret question/answer cannot be changed. It is now possible to change your account name by simply changing the registered e-mail, which was never before possible.

The only time the secret question may have changed was when the account was converted over to battle.net, as it treated as a new battle.net account.

Only way to be reasonably assured you won't be hacked again is through your own actions...keep your security software updated, as well as your operating system. Keep your browser add-ons (Flash, etc) updated, and watch for security updates on the add-ons. Don't fall for phishing emails or in-game whispers. Scan your computer frequently.
