I have two computers. My son wants to play wow with me. Is there a legal way for two people to play on one account at the same time or do I have to buy another wow game and set up another account for him?

Though a parent is allowed to share their account their minor child, Pistolpete, the issue you have is more of a technical limitation then a policy one.

Simply, the same World of Warcraft account can only be logged in once. If you attempt to boot up a second client and log into the same account it will kick you out of the first.

You'd need an account for your son if you wish to play together. You may create the account on your current Battle.net account though if you wish to place parental controls on the account for your son you may want to create a new unique Battle.net account, under you name, that he will use.

You may consider using the Recruit a Friend system if you wish to create a new account, that will give you and your son several benefits including a mount and free game time for the recruiting account once the subscription requirements are fulfilled. More information on the RaF system can be found in the following FAQs.
