Low Frostbolt DPS

Hey I am a mage and I am a very proud frost mage...a couple weeks ago however when i was questing, I was shocked to find that my DPS for my frostbolt had suddenly dropped for no apparent reason...one minute i was killing beasts with 1100 DPS and then the next I was down to 80. As you can probably imagine I became very frustrated and changed my talent tree to arcane but alas, arcane just wasn't my cup of tea...I was planning on using arcane for my duel, but not for my main. I spent gold again to learn frost thinking that it had to work, I went to Elwynn Forest and it took three times for my frostbolt to finally kill a level 6. I don't understand what the heck is going on. I have glyphs, I have spell armor, I beleive I am doing everything right...but my frostbolt is no more...now I am upset because I have worked so very hard to level my mage and now I can't use her. Please help.

As others have mentioned, Alleta, you may be using the incorrect rank of Frostbolt.

Can you hover your mouse over your Frostbolt spell and make sure it states Rank 9

If not, open up your spell book â–ºâ–º Uncheck 'Show all spell ranks' â–ºâ–º Look for Frostbolt and drag the spell to your action bar.
