I server transferred from Tanaris to Trollbane and faction changed from Alliance to Horde. Since I already had a toon on Trollbane with that character's name, it got flagged for a rename. However, I went to the character customization screen first and changed my toon to Horde and got her like I like her and all of that, and while I was in that screen I changed her name to the desired name, and saved her like that. That desired name is Raindancer.
When I tried to log in to the game to play, it said my character was flagged for a rename, even though I already renamed her. I know for a fact that the Raindancer name was not taken on Trollbane because I made a level 1 character by that name to reserve it for this character, and right before I used the character re-customization screen I deleted that level 1 toon to free up the name.
As you can see by this post, the toon is complete and is named Raindancer, but like I said is still flagged for a rename from before. I've since learned that this is an issue with faction change & server transfer toons that don't log in between transactions. Can a GM please remove the name flag from Raindancer? I really, really want to log in and play with my friend on this server tonight, and I want to keep the name Raindancer.
