New dances remain a work in progress and we do not have plans to implement them prior to Cataclysm.

We absolutely wouldn't advertise something in a trailer if we have no intention of including that feature. The trailers are virtually always created more than a year prior to the release of what they're advertising. All of the features are planned -- or work on them has already begun -- but we never know until much closer to the release date what features might have to be shelved to ensure bigger features are polished.

We announced new dances for Wrath of the Lich King and a good deal of work went into them, but we weren't happy with the feature overall as we got closer to release. We decided we would hold off on trying to push it out anyway and focus on bigger projects.

This is the nature of good development, even if it leaves some disappointed.

I'll answer as many Cataclysm questions as I can here:

Will Old Ironforge (The Hall of Thanes) be totally open in Cataclysm for us players? We know the lore associated with it now and what will happen there (won't spoil that for people). But will it be an opened area? It's not yet opened in the Beta, so this is why I asked.

There are no plans we can discuss as of yet for Old Ironforge. We'll just have to wait and see on that one. :)

It's going to remain Western Plaguelands. Consider it an homage to farmers lost.

There is no specific date in mind. It's still something we'd like to do, but there are tons of features we'd like to implement. Sometimes we have to pick and choose which ones we feel are of the most value to the global community

No changes are being made to raid mounts in patch 4.0.1.

They will be available to everyone shortly before the release of Cataclysm when The Shattering takes place.

The user interface changes for guilds will take place in 4.0.1. The actual guild advancement features will be implemented with Cataclysm itself.

As it didn't get applied to Wintergrasp I'd guess it's proving difficult.

The balance cap will be active on Tol Barad with release. We decided to work longer on it to make sure it is ready to go for release, rather than try and push it out earlier for Wintergrasp.

Here's a thought - don't advertise something at all until you've been working on it and are happy (or at least close to happy) with it. Yes, dances aren't a big part of the game, but it IS something many players were excited and about and have been waiting for for almost two years now. That's like walking into McDonalds and seeing Shamrock Shakes on the menu board, but the guy behind the counter tells you "yea, we decided not to make those after all. But we're going to keep them on the board." and he tells you this 5 months after they were supposed to have them.

I like both apples and oranges, but not because they taste the same.
