A question about MPQ patches.

So I saw a guild recently actually using the fact that they made MPQ patches a selling point, they spoke about altering a lot of stuff in the game through these patches and it actually got me thinking.


Are MPQ patches against the ToS? Is this a reportable offense?

My understanding is that MPQ patches change the data of the game, such as voice acting, music, wall placement and so forth. So what is the policy about this stuff and should they be publicly advertising about this?

Yes, changing those files can result in the closure of the account, Dalavesta. If you believe someone is exploiting in this manner you may want to report is using the following form.

If they are advertising this in-game report it via an in-game petition.
