Hello everyone,

Today while at work I mistakenly dropped my iPhone on the ground. The screen cracked but at the moment it is still possible to use it.

The problem I have is that my Authenticator that I got about 2 months ago is on my iPhone. Tomorrow I am going to the AT&T store to see if I can get it replaced or if I will have to buy a new one. With this came a question for me, and that is what do I have to do with the authenticator?

Do I have to remove it from my phone and my account, then maybe get it again?
Or could I just redownload it on the new phone I will be getting?

Hope I can get some help.

You have a couple of options here, Larieth.

You can remove the authenticator from the account before you exchange your phone. Keep in mind that doing so does put the account at risk for compromise. Once you get your new phone you can then re-download the application, attach the new serial number to the Battle.net account, and you will be good as new. If you choose this option be sure to thoroughly scan your computer and possibly change your password to be safe.

On the other hand, you can also keep the account protected until you get a new phone. Once you get a new phone, however, the old serial number will no longer be valid, and you will be locked out of the account. If you choose to go this route be sure to write down the serial number currently attached to the Battle.net account. Once the new phone has the application downloaded, contact Account Services to remove the old one.
