I deleted the email thinking it was a phisher, but saw a post before with someone being invited and not showing up in the Account management page.

I checked the account to be sure, Ranku, and the account is not flagged for the Cataclysm Beta. :(
If you receive an Beta Invitation in the future, please check the email headers if you think it may be fake, and then check the Battle.net account to see if you see the Cataclysm Beta client appear. The ability to download the client may take 24 hours to reflect on the account, so keep this in mind as well.
